Hello, this is the Dongguk Institute of Korean Language.
We are announcing the withdrawal and refund guide for the Winter Semester of 2023. Please refer to the following.
1. Refund policy
- Before class begins: All fees except the application fee
- After class begins: Remaining tuition with the deduction of insurance fees of the registered term
※ Refund is made according to relevant laws(Enforcement Order of Lifelong Education Law)
- D-4 Visa Holder: Visa(D-4) will be canceled in 15 days from the application date once application is approved
2. Procedure : Submit a copy of the return flight ticket or visa change proof document within 15 days from the date of application →
receive the application form from the Administrative Team → Fill out and submit the withdrawal/refund applications in person or via email(klc@dongguk.edu)
→ Confirm Application → (Confirm return) → Tuition refund

5. Notice
- Blank visa(공백비자) is a term that does not exist in the immigration laws, and it is possible to extend the visa (D-4) you have under some limited conditions,
but in principle, it is not possible.
- No refund without a copy of the return ticket or proof of visa change within 15 days from the date of application.
- The required documentations can only be submitted via email(klc@dongguk.edu) or to the office. No proxy submission.
- If omit any required documentations, the application will not be accepted and the applicant is responsible for the delay of refund.
Additional documents may be requested.
- Refund may take one month and subject to change.
- Students who are returning to home country can receive the refund after the office confirms their return.
- D-4 Visa: Cancellation within 15 days of withdrawal approval.
