Special Program

  • To help you to improve linguistic skills and achieve your goal, Korean Letter Class, Supplementary Speaking Class, Supplementary Grammar Class, Exam Prep Class, and Study Room are available for free.
 
 
Korean culture class
36 Culture Class Programs are provided for a total of 20 hours.
  • Level 1: Learn Korean colors and make a bookmark
  • Level 2: Learn traditional Korean musical instruments, make and play janggu
  • Level 3: Experience the latest game culture in Korea
  • Level 4: Learn the latest trends in K-pop and sing a song
  • Level 5: Learn jobs in video
  • Level 6: Learn Korean modern and contemporary history and visit the Seoul Museum of History
 
 
 
Korean culture experience
In addition to Korean language class, a variety of special activities are prepared, reflecting needs from students. 1 class of field learning or experience learning for 4 hours is provided in each semester to improve an understanding of Korea and its culture.
  • Field learning: Lotte World, Seoul Land, Everland, Namsan, Yeouido, Seoul Grand Park, Children’s Grand Park, National Museum of Korea, National Folk Museum, Seoul Museum of History, Gyeongbokgung, Deoksugung, Changgyeonggung, etc.
  • Experience learning: Cooking, kite making, pottery making, hanji (Korean paper) craft, Taekwondo, talchum (mask dance), calligraphy, etc.
 
 
 
TOPIK II Class
Program introduction: Special class to intensely focus on preparing a test for foreigners and Korean expatriates a month before the test.
Description: It is a course which starts a month before the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK), targets each subject (reading, listening, and writing), and solves previous tests with each class of a few students selected.

Global Buddy Program
A program where Korean language volunteers, who consist of students in this university, help foreign students who take a Korean language regular course to better understand Korean culture and improve their Korean skills.
 
 
 
Special Class
Dongguk Institute of Korean Language is running the following special programs to help students improve their Korean language skills and achieve their goals.
  • Level 1 supplementary class: Students who lack basics in Level 1 can take the course.
  • Level 2 Supplementary Class: Students who lack basic speaking practice can take the course.
