The Government of Republic of Korea has decided to request all foreigners travelling to the Republic of Korea carry their own negative PCR test declaration in order to board an aircraft from 00:00 on 8 January 2021.
The airlines that fly to Republic of Korea have been instructed by the Korean authorities to make sure that all foreign passengers are in possession of their own negative PCR test result before boarding. The PCR test must be conducted no more than 72 hours prior to the passenger’s scheduled departure. Anyone who does not carry his or her negative test declaration will be denied boarding.
Also, all foreigners travelling to the Republic of Korea by ship from abroad must carry their own negative PCR test result from 00:00 on 15 January 2021. The PCR test must be conducted no more than 72 hours prior to the passenger’s scheduled departure. Anyone without his or her own negative test declaration will be denied to enter the Republic of Korea.
Furthermore, the Government of Republic of Korea has decided that all passengers, including Korean nationals, travelling to the Republic of Korea from the United Kingdom and South Africa, must carry their own negative PCR test declaration from 0:00 on 1 January 2021.
