Winter Semester 2024 Dormitory Application Guide

(New and Extension)

 

 

 

 

We would like to inform you about the application process for new and extended dormitory stays for the Winter Semester 2024.

 

 

1. Eligibility

: New students or current students of the Korean Language Institute who wish to extend their stay or apply for new dormitory housing.

 

Applicants must complete the payment of tuition corresponding to the duration of their stay in the dormitory. Failure to pay tuition will result in automatic exclusion from eligibility.

Ex) For a 6-month application, tuition must be paid for the Winter Semester 2024 to Spring Semester 2025 (from 2024.12.16 to 2025.05.28).

 

2. Application Schedule

6. Selection Regulations (Selection will be based on internal dormitory regulations)

A. Priority given to new applicants.

B. 3-month new applicants may apply, but 6-month applicants will be prioritized.

 

7. Admission Documents Required (For New Applicants; Not Required for Extension)

Failure to submit will result in denial of entry

A. Admission Agreement: See attached file

B. Copy of Passport

C. Tuberculosis Examination Certificate

X-ray images or CDs cannot be submitted.

Results must be issued within 30 days prior to the check-in date.

Students without a tuberculosis examination certificate can get tested at ‘Yoon Chang Ok Internal Medicine Clinic’ nearby, with same-day issuance of the certificate.

D. Proof of Measles Vaccination: Choose one from the following: 1) Measles vaccination certificate, 2) Measles vaccination confirmation letter, 3) Measles antibody test result.

Measles vaccination must be completed in two doses, and entry into the dormitory may be denied based on antibody test results.

It is recommended to get the antibody test before entering Korea, as results take approximately 2-5 days to issue.

 

 

8. Refund Policy

. Full refund for cancellations made at least one day before the official check-in date.

. Other details follow the dormitory refund policy.

The deposit system that was in place since the 2023 academic year has been abolished, and the facility management fee is standardized at 30,000 KRW, which is non-refundable. However, actual costs will be charged for facility damage and lost access cards.
