i.) Article 69-2 of the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act (Foreigner's expense)

ii.) Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters meeting held on the 14th of August 2020.

2. According to the revision of the Infectious Diseases Prevention and Management Act, from 17th of August 2020 foreigners from overseas with COVID19 infected shall bear the full amount of medical expenses in the following case:

i.) Violation of preventive measures such as mandatory quarantine,

ii.) Violation of domestic preventive measures such as submission of forged PCR Result.

3. On the other hand, foreign inflow with COVID 19 infected who have entered Korea after 24th of August 2020 will be required to pay part or entire amount of medical expenses as below :

○Foreigners (Koreans included) from countries who are eligible for full support: Full treatment cost support (excluding non-essential non-wage).

○Foreigners (Koreans included) from countries who are not eligible for any support: Full treatment cost is handled by the individual.

○Foreigners from countries who are eligible for partial support: Isolation room admission fee (Hospital room fee) is provided but the medical expenses, food expenses, etc. are borne by the individual.
