The Korean Language Institute is now accepting applications for new Foreign Registration Cards for students enrolling in the Summer Semester 2026. Foreign nationals who stay in Korea for more than 90 days are required to obtain a Foreign Registration Card. If you fail to apply for it within 90 days, you may be subject to a fine. Please refer to the following details for your reference.
1. Group Application Period for New Foreign Registration Card
- Application Period: June 11, 2026 (Thurs) 09:00 AM – June 18,2026 (Thurs) 6:00 PM
- Application Website: https://api2.hirevisa.com/m/univ/3/40/9/guide/rc-issue
* Students who do not apply within the above period must apply individually.
Individual applications require making a reservation at the immigration office and may take over 2 weeks to be processed.
* The fee for individual application is 35,000 KRW, which is cheaper than the group application, but students must prepare all required documents and reservations on their own.
* Group application may take up to 2 months to process.
* If you leave Korea before receiving your ARC, you will not be able to re-enter with the same visa.
2. Required Documents (Passport-sized photo, Copy of passport, Proof of residence (e.g., address verification document))
