Dormitory Application Guide for Spring 2026

The following is information on dormitory applications for the spring semester of 2026.

1. Eligibility

: New or current students of the Dongguk Institute of Korean Language who wish to newly apply for the dormitory.

-Current residents scheduled to move out in March must apply if they wish to extend their stay.

-Applicants must have completed their Spring 2026 tuition payment. Failure to pay tuition will result in the cancellation of the application.

2. Application Schedule

: Application Submission(01.22 ~ 01.29) → Review → Announcement of Results(02.06) → Registration for Accepted Applicants(~02.13) → Additional Results Announcement(02.19) → Additional Registration(~02.24) → Submission of Move-in Documents(~02.28) → Move-in(03.12)

※ Move-in documents must be submitted via email: shinsh@dongguk.edu

(Only for applicants who received an acceptance notification by email)

※ The announcement date of results is subject to change due to internal circumstances.

3. Number of Students to Be Admitted: Total 44 students (14 males, 30 females)

* Application Period: 01.22 09:00AM ~ 01.29. 18:00PM

※ Selection is based on factors such as grades and attendance rates; therefore, early application does not guarantee admission.

6. Selection Criteria: According to the internal dormitory selection regulations

7. No Weekend or Evening Check-ins

Check-in Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Lunch break: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)

Note: Check-in is unavailable outside of these hours.

8. Required Documents (New Applicants Only): If you do not submit, you will not be admitted.

A. Dormitory Pledge (see attachment)

B. Copy of Passport

C. Tuberculosis Diagnosis Certificate

※ X-ray images/CDs not accepted

※ Submission of results within 1 month (30 days) from the date of admission

※ Students who do not have a tuberculosis diagnosis can get a diagnosis on the same day after undergoing a test at ‘Yunchangok Internal Medicine Clinic’ near the school.

D. Measles Vaccination Proof (choose one of the following)
1) Measles certificate of vaccination, 2) Measles vaccination confirmation, 3) Measles Antibody test result

※ Measles vaccination must be completed up to the second does, and depending on the antibody test result, dormitory admission may not be possible

※ It takes about 2 to 5 days to issue antibody test results, so it is recommended to get tested before entering Korea

9. Refund Policy

A. Full refund if canceled at least one day before the official move-in date

B. Other matters are subject to the dormitory refund policy.

※ The deposit system that was applied from the 2023 school year has been abolished and unified to a facility management fee of 50,000 won, and the amount is not refundable. However, in case of damage to the facility or loss of the access card, actual expenses will be charged.
