1. Subject to application: Students and prospective students at Dongguk Institute of Korean Language in 2022 summer semester.

 

2. Application Method

Visit the administrative office of the DIKL (Dongguk Institute of Korean Language) and fill out the application form

* Existing resident (Namsan): Dormitory expenses including the amount for the remaining three days of application for extension

* Shifter from Chungmu Dorm to Namsan Dorm: Adjusted to the period of new occupancy in Namsan dorm, 3 days of additional residence of Chungmu dorm + dormitory fee for the new occupancy amount of Namsan dorm.

* Please be aware that ASSIGNED RESIDENCE HALL MAY BE CHANGED depending on the internal circumstances of the dormitory.

* The rooms in Namsan Residence Hall are ALL DOUBLE ROOMS, but there are three beds in the room(one for extra), so please be aware of this in advance before you apply.

 

 

6. Way of selection:

If the total number of applicants exceeds a volume of recruitment, new residents are priority of selection. In principle, students who have lived in dormitories should be selected by reflecting the details of the reward and punishment points in the previous semester. (However, those who got 20 penalty points or more cannot be selected.)

*Please be sure to transfer the payment UNDER YOUR OWN NAME or the student number that can be identified.

 

8. Documents requirements for a new occupant.

1) Passport copy

2) Chest X-ray results (tuberculosis test for a dormitory – a document within a month from the date of moving in)

3) Immigration certificate (Foreign entrants – ENTRY CONFIRMATION from the airport /
Domestic residents – only documents issued within 3 days from the date of move-in are accepted (Community service center-
주민센터, Civil complaint 24-민원24)

4) COVID-19 vaccinated confirmation (Home country issued documents available)

5) COVID-19 confirmation (check attached file)

6) Dormitory agreement (upon moving-in, fill out and submit at the dormitory administration office)

*We comply with the quarantine guidelines of the government and Dongguk university, and the submitted documents may change accordingly.


 

9. Others

1) If giving up moving in after registration, the refund will be deducted according to the refund policy based on the moving-in date (23th of June) (If giving up moving in until 2022.06.22, the payment will be fully refunded)

2) The move-in deposit will be fully refunded under the premise that there is no damage to the facilities and furnishings during the moving-out inspection.

3) Roommate application is only possible at ‘Main Recruitment’. The roommates cannot be requested for additional recruitment.

4) If you want to move in on a date other than the designated move-in date (6.23~6.24), you must obtain approval by inquiring about ‘Application for Move-in for Exception Period’ by email (jminah@dongguk.edu).

It is not possible to move in for an exceptional period that has not been discussed with the administration team.

Also, even if you move in as an exception after the deadline, it will be treated as a regular move-in on the official move-in date (23th of June)

5) Restricted Items:

Pet, electric heating appliance, cooking ware, alcoholic beverages, and all sort of things that could cause safety problems or harm others during community life.

  6) Detailed move in guide will be personally informed to the successful candidates after completion of recruitment and announcement of acceptance.
